CHOICES ARE MANY, BUT THE CHOICE-MAKING IS OURS.

 

In this day of Mental Illnesses setting in at a very early age and challenging the medical world, it should be considered that the POWER OF THINKING in itself is a blessing and a gift . The power to think coherently and with alacrity  seems to be waning at an alarming rate. Modern day medicine brushes aside such incoherent thoughts under different names and polite terminology or even ‘eccentricity’.

To all those whose can think straight, consider this. The choice is your’s.

You are able to process a thought in your mind and act upon it. Is that not  a blessing? A gift from Above? So when these are good thoughts formed in your mind and you choose to always think of worthy things, noble as they are, they become your inward prayer.

When you wish well for the others and for yourself. Seeing the good in everything and when your thoughts always border on kindness and compassion. When you include others less fortunate than you in your life. Harboring thoughts of gratitude. When you think and choose to be happy, spreading joy around, come what may.

Even a tiny thought which sets off a smile in you spreads positive vibes all around.

Spread positive and good energy while you can! Only you can do it !!

Philippians 4:8 of the Bible says:

…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.

So you see, ultimately it is the thought that matters. Big or small, every thought decides the next step of action for each one. The freedom to think, choose and act is yours..It is a gift, as said earlier. But if you do not put the ‘power to think’ into good use, you may end up making unwise decisions and then the apple-cart goes for a toss!

Even when you claim that the choice-making is yours, you might be at a loss to know whether you made the right decision or not.  The air of uncertainty remains all the time.

So it is extremely important for all of us to know that we need God’s Grace to help us make decisions and to even think straight, in the first place. When we submit our thought process to Him, things work out just fine. Now, even if things do ‘seem’ to go wrong, we can be confident that we are not alone in this. He will show us the way out of the chaos and confusion that we land ourselves in, at times

Prayer:

Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me the power of thinking and letting me think freely. I pray that You let me take every thought in me captive, and think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, excellent and praiseworthy. Help me discipline my thought-life and break all destructive strongholds in my mind, by Your Divine Power. I trust You on it. I depend on You for it, for You are my Rock, my Redeemer and My Deliverer. In Your Name. Amen.
