‘QUOTES’ AT YOUR FINGERTIPS.

It’s a long road to freedom,
winding steep and high,
But when you walk in love
With the wind on your wing
And cover the earth
with the songs you sing
The miles fly by.

These are the lines from an oft-sung familiar song. When we read and sing out the lines, even a heavy heart would feel lighter. It just means that the long journey of life can be made less tedious with love for everything on earth. Visual or virtual, audio or written –  any media has a deep impact on our psyche. So it is with Quotes.

Quotes are a priceless source of wisdom in words and guidance when needed. Usually a quote can prompt us back to focus and  lead us to a specific goal or plan of action, when our normal motivation lapses. They can activate a trigger point in our hearts and minds when we are distressed. Yes, they need to be felt by the heart. The right quote can help us see light at the end of the tunnel. It might even push us out of a negative thought or situation in the flicker of a second!

Having faced dire situations in life which has created a better version of ourselves, we can inspire others also to live their own better or best versions, without floundering in the dark.

Reasons for quotes to be made important in your life:

In this fast paced era, when people do not have time for one another, we are left stuck most of the time to fend on our own.

  • Unavailability of timely advice or mentoring, when needed, may cause deep downward spiraling of thoughts leading to depression or anxiety. Quotes can lift you out of such depression. Especially if you are all alone.
  • The inspiration in the quotes can direct energies towards a positive path.
  • Quotes are useful for anyone – from a top class entrepreneur, bosses, leaders, managers to a sportsman or an ordinary individual. Time is at a premium now. These words of wisdom bridge the gap between availability of time and swift words to motivate.
  • It is Knowledge in a Capsule. All our life experiences presented in a nutshell can be related to, easily.
  • They serve you as reminders for you to ponder over on a daily basis. (Read:  http://iammarriamhere.com/quotes/daily-quote/) These valuable points may be from people we have never come across, but their words fall true in our mind.
  • Reading condensed words of wisdom sets our brain into a stimulated thought process. If it falls in line with our  personal thoughts, then following it becomes easy.
  • Quotes can effect a changeover in  our state of mind for the good, due to powerful words repeatedly read. Since they tell us the truth, there is a feel-good factor in them.
  • They can easily be spread and shared with everyone. With the different platforms in social media today, they serve as ice breakers and can form a communication link with others.
  • Being value-ridden tools in themselves, they empower us to do what we need to do.
