USE YOUR WORDS WITH CAUTION.

I’m thinking deep about today’s quote.

Forget every word that I think, appearing on my whole skin…that would mean the whole of my body and that would be too much!
Let me try it this way. If I were to have every word I thought or spoke, ‘written’ on my hands, where everyone could see them… Would I be proud to show off my hands?
My answer is simply “no.” I wouldn’t be able to, because my words have failed. I have said many things that I cannot take back. Often, I have hurt too many people with my words and not said ‘sorry’. I have not been wise or careful in what I have said, thought or spoken.

Luckily, we do not have our words written across or appearing on our flesh. Can you imagine the sorry state we would be in ?
No one, but, us (and God) have heard the thoughts we create in our minds.
But, all said and done, we DO have a responsibility to use our words wisely. Words cut deeper than any knife can. At the same time, words can also save someone’s life.
It’s your choice.
Be Wise and Choose carefully.

BIBLE VERSE:

James 3:8-10 of the bible says “No one can tame the tongue – a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse those who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so.”
Jesus stated, “What comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this is what defiles. For out of the heart come evil intentions, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person.”

Can you connect these two verses? So, for sure, it is our thoughts and words that defile us.
We, who profess to follow the teachings of Jesus, often forget the responsibility that we have as torch-bearers of the Light.
These teachings are meant to change our hearts and the way we behave. It means stating our opinions without demeaning or condemning others. Well, disagreeing with someone is perfectly normal and natural, but, that disagreement does not give us license to belittle, disparage, mock, or ridicule the other person.
That is sheer immaturity.
Let us check our hearts and minds daily and correct ourselves, for, we are representatives of the One who walked the Earth here before us!

Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
