WORD SYNC WITH ACTION.

When we desire a certain thing, we want it with immediate effect. We go around finding out ways and means to get it. Then we begin to pray about it. So far so good. But at times we keep reiterating and telling ourselves and others that we are sure we are not going to get the thing that we prayed for or asked. This one small act will revert all that we desired to a null and void situation. So much so that we will feel that our prayers have not been answered.

We do this all the time. That is simply one of the reasons that we do not get what we asked for.

Matthew 21:22 of the Bible tells us:

And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believe, you shall receive it.

‘Believe’. ‘Trust’. These are words that are intermittently used in the teachings of Jesus. Jesus knew that it would be very difficult for us to believe something or someone we don’t see with our eyes. So He reassures man that there is no need to fear: believe and trust Him. When we do so, in putting forth our petitions, our prayers are answered.

Even before we have received the things that we ask for, we must act and behave as if we already have them. Doubting our own prayers, our own spoken words is a sign of mistrust in the Lord.

Believing and trusting Him changes us. We become secure, calm and relaxed against insuperable odds.

PRAYER:

Dear Lord, I thank you for having shown me the way to pray. Help me fully understand that I am speaking to You and that I need not be afraid to ask You anything I need. You have promised that I only need to believe and trust You. Let me grow daily in my trust on You. Forgive me all my wrongs and help me get rooted in faith and pray the Word. Fill me with Grace to do all these, In Your Name. Amen.

God bless you with His Grace.
