LONELINESS IS BEING ‘POOR’

“The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved.”
― Mother Teresa

It does not matter if you are wealthy or hold empires in the world. If, at the helm of it all, you are found to be shirking company, feel lonely, isolate yourself, or hit the bottle to drown away your boredom or loneliness, then that needs to be addressed. Find out the reasons for your loneliness. And get it remedied at the earliest. For, loneliness, in a bad way, could lead to depression and much more than can be handled.

Most of the time, people need other people to satisfy them. They cannot find good company within themselves.

“If you’re lonely when you’re alone, you’re in bad company.” ― Jean-Paul Sartre

Loneliness may not be clubbed as being a synonym for ‘solitude.’ Solitude is the state where you do not want anyone else with you: you want to be by yourself. Solitude is positive: it enhances creativity.  It frees the mind up from all the distractions of everyday life and allows it to focus more fully on one thing. It allows your brain to think outside the box and to come up with unique, extraordinary solutions to ordinary problems.

Being in ‘solitude’ is welcoming: being ‘lonely’ is not. Befriend ‘Solitude and Yourself’. Shirk Loneliness.

You must invest in time ‘alone’ with yourself, see everything from a different perspective and get back to making life happy for yourself and for the others around you. Slowly the changeover from feeling lonely will start bearing fruit when the time well spent with yourself has been used with a purpose, for a Purpose.
Feel happy and good in your own company

Isaiah 41:10 of the Bible tells us:

So do not fear, for I am with you: Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

These assurances of sustaining strength are God’s Word for you. The fear of being lonely, the fear of the unknown, the fear of life itself need  never trouble you. You only need to trust on Him who has promised to be with you from your birth till death and beyond that.

What other promise do you need, other than from the One, the Creator, who has brought you into this world? No father, mother, siblings, lover, husband, wife, friend or anything earthly can keep up a promise to be with each other till Death and Beyond. Only Our Father in Heaven can.

Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.  Isaiah 46:4.

So do not fear or worry, for the Living Lord is with you
